We are proud to announce Karlos Alastruey as Special Guest! He will be in Timișoara in the last days of the festival.
He is a Basque filmmaker from Bilbao whose films blend surreal, experimental, and humanistic storytelling. A Professor of Physics at the Public University of Navarra, he has screened his work at more than 150 international festivals, winning over 60 awards. His films explore identity, women’s experiences, and adolescence, and have been featured at major festivals including Sitges, BIFAN, and Cannes Short Film Corner 2025. Three of his feature films are available on Relay, Tubi and Amazon Prime Video.
