Adam Hobzik, Special Online Guest at TGIFF, 2026 edition!
He will talk, with Jan Chramosta, about filmmaking in Czech Republic.
Screenwriter and director. He graduated from FAMU with the festival film Haka (2012), a study of the tension between the individual and the group. As a writer-director, Hobzik created one of Czechia’s first web series, Pizza Boy (2015), a portrait of his generation’s disillusionment — a theme he carried into his feature debut, Punch and Run (2021). His latest film, the adventurous family comedy When Parents Turn Divine, co-directed with Jan Chramosta, brings old Slavic gods back into modern-day Prague. Off screen he loves chess, Jung, and any stretch of water.
