Ane Out of the Cavern

Ane, now 21, begins therapy to confront a traumatic event from her teenage years — the mysterious drowning of a friend in a river, and the influence of a mythic figure: Estambul, a female contract killer who became a symbol of strength and rebellion for the young Ane.

In her sessions with Nix, a social worker, Ane’s 13-year-old self begins to appear in her place, defying logic and time. As past and present intertwine, roles shift: the therapist becomes the one under analysis, and fantasy begins to bleed into memory.

Haunted by Estambul’s legacy and her own fractured identity, Ane must revisit the darkest corners of her mind — and confront the version of herself she left behind.
