3 Moirai (The movie- a short note)

“It is not myself; it is Zeus and Moira and Erinys, the enchantress of the night”
(This is Agamemnon explaining his behavior when he took Achilles’s mistress, Vriseida from him).

The Iliad illustrates in the most beautiful way the struggle of humans against their own nature. Gods do intervene, modify the orbits of the arrows, define the outcome of the battles, set limitations and harsh choices for humans, they get angry, they get resentful…Well, Gods hold bitterness against human happiness …they do not lose a chance to show this and put it into practice…Human beings are well aware of this fact, so they make an effort to fool them…

In the Iliad it is made clear that you are not in charge of your own fate. However, even though human beings are incapable of comprehending why this or the other event took place, they succumb to the thought that, since it happened, “it should have been that way”…This is the relationship between the human beings in the Iliad and the metaphysical element…

It is advisable to refer back to early human written history (perhaps covert history) and mythology, when the unprocessed material prevailed. Is there anyone who can give an answer to these universal, human questions? No…One can only make a suggestion…state an opinion…Perhaps the best way to give an answer is through poetry…through a visual poem…

3 Moirai (the movie) wishes to become an anthem addressing the thinkers, addressing life itself…In the poster you can see the 3 Moirai watching our lives…But how much of it can they define?
